Got A Gambling Problem? The NFL Combine Is Here To Help!
Posted By Admin on February 26, 2011
And by help, what I really mean is exacerbate the problem by giving you things to gamble on that you should in no way, shape, or form actually be gambling on.
Yes, the NFL Combine starts tomorrow from Indianapolis, and millions of us will be fixated on the NFL Network so we can watch guys run fast, jump high, and do other drills in shorts and t-shirts in the hopes of getting an indication of what type of NFL players theyre going to be. But, if youre jonesing for something to make things a little more exciting, the folks at Bodog have provided me a bunch of match-ups that you can place your hard-earned money on in the hopes of making some slightly less hard-earned money.
Examples of the things you can gamble on?
-The over/under on the highest vertical leap is 41.5 inches.
-The over/under for most bench press repetitions is also 41.5.
-The over/under for the fastest 40-yard dash time is 4.30 seconds. (Bonus question. . .if someone runs a sub-4.3 40 at the Combine, in what round do the Raiders draft him?)
They also have a bunch of individual match-ups that you can bet on via the money line. For those that are uninitiated to gambling, the money line is a number that is expressed as either a positive or negative number, based on a $100 wager. A money line of +120 means that if you bet $100 and were successful, you would win $120. On the other hand, a money line of -120 means that you would have to bet $120 in order to make $100 on a bet.
After the jump, youll see some of the individual match-ups Im referring to.
